In a bold diptych, the Geneva-born choreographer creates a dialogue between a Beethoven masterpiece and an original composition by young composer Maxime Mantovani, whose reinterpretation of Opus 131 unfolds through the kaleidoscope of movement. Nina Vallon’s choreography weaves an intimate connection with the music, producing an organic, physically demanding dance. As the moving, shifting bodies meet and interact, dance and music begin to tell stories—stories that belong to them, existing beyond the realm of the intelligible. These narratives resonate deeply, often in ways we cannot fully explain.
