An extraordinary piano evening awaits at the historic chapel of Athénée 4, featuring performances by Sona Igityan and Viva Sanchez. The program, “Préludes in Freedom,” highlights the works of 12 composers, delving into various prelude styles from unmeasured Baroque to dreamlike and free preludes across eras. Viva Sanchez will offer a selection featuring composers like Bach, Debussy, and Rachmaninov. In the second part, Sona Igityan will perform pieces by Arno Babadjanian, a notable 20th-century Armenian composer.

Echec Mycose – Cie Pluton

“Échec Mycose” is a creation by Compagnie Pluton. Alice and Ulysse, a queer duo from rural Switzerland, present a musical inspired by the exclusion of trans women from international women’s chess competitions and Léa Rivière’s poem “Je suis pas trans dans la forêt.” On stage, they explore stories of transitions, whether they be spatial-temporal, chemical, generational, or gender, with a DIY touch. The company aims to provide positive representations of queer paths in a countryside setting, challenging cis-heteropatriarchal norms.
