Villa Dutoit is hosting an event where Bernard Lescaze will present a talk on the methods of sending mail during the time of the Escalade, long before modern postal systems were established. Following the talk, there will be a concert of traditional music from French-speaking Switzerland, performed by the ensemble Zône Franche, featuring François Mützenberg on recorders, Jean-Luc Manca on accordion, and Olivier Destephany on double bass. Attendees will also have the chance to join in singing traditional Escalade songs.

Therapist Jean-Philippe Jacques and cultural mediator Murielle Brunschwig lead the session, offering therapeutic mindfulness guidance alongside cultural mediation within a museum setting.

The session examines cultivating trust through mindful attention to present-moment experience, exploring practices that develop benevolent, non-judging presence and progressive inner strength. Participants investigate techniques to sustain calm and embodied awareness and discuss how these approaches can support emotional regulation, resilience, and compassionate relating to self and others.

11 October – 13 December

Caroline de Cornière, dancer, choreographer, educator, and cultural mediator, leads three movement workshops at the Pavillon inspired by the works of guest choreographers. Participants can explore choreographic styles and states through the body, experiencing the performance physically before or after seeing the show. The workshops are accessible to people with reduced mobility.
