Nature in the City: Green Spaces and Concrete

Ways of thinking about the environment in relation to housing and the urban lifestyle are constantly evolving. On what scales have politicians and the general public thought about nature in the city? How has the perception of the environment changed between an ancient world transformed by the development of industry and today’s society faced with declining biodiversity, increasing heatwaves and the growing recurrence of climatic disasters?  Moderator: Antonio Da Cunha (University of Lausanne).  Program in partnership with the Haute école de musique, whose students offer a musical welcome at 6 p.m.
