La Cour des Contes is a captivating oral literature festival that has enchanted the town of Plan-les-Ouates for nearly 30 years, becoming a key event in the French-speaking world. Blending ancient myths with modern issues, the festival offers a rich and diverse program.

While family-friendly tales delight young audiences, the teen/adult program invites reflection and exploration. Highlights include Philippe Imbert’s clever take on princess stereotypes, Jennifer Anderson’s journey through the polar night and Indigenous climate concerns, and Pascal Mitsuru Guéran’s dive into Japan’s mysterious voluntary disappearances in Les évaporés du Japon.
