This concert pays tribute to the birth of the concert symphony in Milan around 1730. Led by baroque violinist Enrico Gatti, students from the Geneva University of Music perform works by Milanese composers such as Giovanni Battista, Giuseppe Sammartini, and Antonio Brioschi, along with Swiss composer Joseph Franz Xaver Dominik Stalder. Notably, a piece by Stalder has been transcribed by the musicology class at the University of Geneva.
