Laboratorium Pieśni – Song Laboratory is a Polish all-female vocal group that combines traditional polyphonic singing with mystical, spiritual, and healing music. They perform songs from various global cultures, including Ukraine, the Balkans, Georgia, Belarus, as well as chants from indigenous tribes like the Cherokee, Lakota, and Yoruba. The group also creates their own intuitive compositions in imagined languages. Performing a cappella with unique arrangements that incorporate shamanic drums and ethnic instruments like the Shruti, flutes, kalimba, and zaphir and koshi chimes, their music blends traditional song with vocal improvisations inspired by nature’s sounds, often wild and feminine.
