Joseph Haydn’s oratorio “Die Jahreszeiten” (The Seasons) will be performed by the ensemble Gli Angeli Genève and conducted by Benjamin Levy, as part of the Haydn-Mozart Festival. The soloists include Judith van Wanroij (soprano), Julian Prégardien (tenor), and Stephan MacLeod (bass). Prior to the concert, a presentation by Philippe Albèra will take place at 7:15 PM.

The performers actively build an imaginary land amidst a decaying landscape, exploring the repetitive and infinite mechanisms of desire. Through architecture, flesh, philosophy, and visual art, the stage community attempts to embody in impossible spaces, unleashing their collective energy.

Directed and adapted by Françoise Courvoisier—who previously brought Réal’s world to life in three earlier works—this intimate piece is set in the writer’s own kitchen, the heart of her confessions and creativity. Twenty years after her death, the play celebrates Réal’s fierce spirit and lyrical rage, honoring the woman who turned her life, her body, and her revolt into unforgettable literature.
