Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix – Cultural Mediation Program

The GPHG exhibition showcases 90 timepieces shortlisted by the Academy, accompanied by creations from students of watch design and interior architecture at HEAD – Geneva. Visitors can enjoy guided tours led by a watchmaking expert and participate in introductory watchmaking workshops. Children can engage in activities such as engraving and constructing sundials. Additionally, the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie offers a lecture on iconic watches.

Discover the secrets of African art at the exhibition “Au-delà des apparences.” Dive into vibrant artworks and captivating stories, perfect for a family exploration.

9 & 14 November

Jean-Luc Hervé presents “Sombre / Topos – Musical Salon with a Population of Sound Animals” in collaboration with Utopiana and the University of Geneva. This innovative project features sound broadcasts, performances, and a seminar. Hervé explores the interplay between music and the environment by positioning sound sources throughout a house, crafting a natural polyphony that mimics animal populations. The performances, woven into this soundscape, gradually evolve and separate, forming an independent “sound population” that remains even after the performers have exited.

Alongside the show SPECIMEN at Théâtre Am Stram Gram, Gwendoline Soublin will host a creative writing workshop at the Maison Rousseau et Littérature. This workshop, infused with ecological and dreamlike elements, delves into a time-travel journey of a supermarket employee from the fish and seafood section, spanning from prehistory to the present.
