“Échec Mycose” is a creation by Compagnie Pluton. Alice and Ulysse, a queer duo from rural Switzerland, present a musical inspired by the exclusion of trans women from international women’s chess competitions and Léa Rivière’s poem “Je suis pas trans dans la forêt.” On stage, they explore stories of transitions, whether they be spatial-temporal, chemical, generational, or gender, with a DIY touch. The company aims to provide positive representations of queer paths in a countryside setting, challenging cis-heteropatriarchal norms.
