Oscar Gómez Mata, known for his bold creations in Europe and Latin America, debuts his first work entirely for young audiences at Am Stram Gram. Titled “Tracas et Sans Gravité” this performance offers a “not-so-solo” act where he embodies a metaphysical clown. Combining extravagance, poetry, and reflections on major contemporary issues, Gómez Mata explores how our worries can transform into a powerful force for change.

15 & 16 May

For the cultural season 24-25 and the festival La Cour des Contes, the company La Cour des Contes presents “Le Banquet,” a theatrical and culinary experience. Attendees gather around tables to listen to stories while enjoying a vegetarian meal. This event aims to awaken awareness and encourage thoughtful reflections in light of current crises. The production combines theater and cuisine, featuring artists such as Arthur Binois and Margot Charon.

A powerful theatrical tribute to the legendary Geneva writer, painter, and sex worker Grisélidis Réal, based on her raw, visceral letters to Jean-Luc Hennig. Directed and adapted by Françoise Courvoisier—who previously brought Réal’s world to life in three earlier works—this intimate piece is set in the writer’s own kitchen, the heart of her confessions and creativity. Twenty years after her death, the play celebrates Réal’s fierce spirit and lyrical rage, honoring the woman who turned her life, her body, and her revolt into unforgettable literature.

The Festival Le Luth Enchanté, organized by the Association des Concerts de Musique Ancienne (ACMA), celebrates the rich soundscape of historical plucked string instruments—lutes, theorboes, vihuelas, and more. Welcoming artists from around the world while spotlighting young talent trained in Geneva, the festival offers an intimate setting where authenticity meets cultural dialogue. With its refined yet accessible approach, it brings early music into the present with depth and elegance.
