Michail Risvas, Lecturer in Law at Southampton Law School (University of Southampton), and Bansoa Sigam of Nwola Cultural Studio present a mirrored discussion of their research on cultural property law and collections. Risvas examines arbitration in disputes concerning cultural heritage originating from the African continent, focusing on legal frameworks and cross-border claims. Sigam explores the history of collections between Switzerland and Cameroon and introduces the concept of “sheritage”, addressing interdisciplinary methodologies for defining objects, practices and trajectories.
