Comedy: Julien Doquin de Saint Preux

“Les tergiversations d’un homme au ventre vide” is a comedic play by Julien Doquin de Saint Preux. Following Napoleon’s defeat, Talleyrand and Fouché meet in Paris to determine France’s future—whether it will be a republic or a monarchy. During a private dinner, they engage in a heated debate: Fouché advocates for the republic, while Talleyrand aims to restore the Bourbons, requiring Fouché’s support. The evening is filled with revelations and confrontations against a backdrop of external turmoil.

Loriot is a unique quintet blending diverse musical influences, including Cameroonian religious songs, Baka polyphonies, and jazz. The group delves into harmony, groove, and collective improvisation. The ensemble consists of Ernestine Mermet on flute and vocals, Flavie Ndam on alto saxophone, Joris Arlaud on drums, Louise Knobil on double bass, and Yves-Yann Lavaly on piano.

The show “7-8 Jean-François,” crafted by Alexandra Tiedemann and Céline Goormaghtigh, tells the story of a middle-aged man, disillusioned with life. Following his doctor’s advice to make a change, he enrolls in a disco dance class. There, a chance reunion with his old schoolmate Michaël stirs up past rivalries and awakens an unexpected competitive edge. Jean-François now dreams of redemption by winning the prestigious local dance event, the Night Cup.
