Guided tours by exhibition curators Ursula Baume Cousam and Eloi Contesse
Slip into the shoes of a 19th-century traveler as you browse the photographic archives presented in the Couloir des coups d’œil. This exhibition highlights the work of Auguste Garcin and John Jullien, Genevan photographers who traveled throughout Switzerland and the Alps to immortalize spectacular landscapes. While their photographs contributed to the spread of a stereotypical representation of Swiss landscapes, they also document a decisive turning point in the history of tourism.
