Jen Rosenblit presents “ElseWhere Rhapsody”. This show places desire at its core, revisiting ancient motifs of erotic art through a queer lens. The performers actively build an imaginary land amidst a decaying landscape, exploring the repetitive and infinite mechanisms of desire. Through architecture, flesh, philosophy, and visual art, the stage community attempts to embody in impossible spaces, unleashing their collective energy.
The Festival Le Luth Enchanté, organized by the Association des Concerts de Musique Ancienne (ACMA), celebrates the rich soundscape of historical plucked string instruments—lutes, theorboes, vihuelas, and more. Welcoming artists from around the world while spotlighting young talent trained in Geneva, the festival offers an intimate setting where authenticity meets cultural dialogue. With its refined yet accessible approach, it brings early music into the present with depth and elegance.
Oscar Gómez Mata, known for his bold creations in Europe and Latin America, debuts his first work entirely for young audiences at Am Stram Gram. The play “Les cinq roses de Jennifer” explores the solitude and struggle of an individual against dominant discourse. It tells the story of Jennifer, a romantically inclined femminiello, who awaits the eagerly anticipated call from Franco after an unforgettable night together. Each day, she dedicates a song to him while living under the threat of a serial killer targeting transvestites in her 1980s Naples neighborhood. Though seemingly light-hearted, the play powerfully portrays the outsider’s condition and the despair of hiding in order to be accepted. Translated and directed by Daniela Morina Pelaggi, the production is supported by a talented artistic and technical team, and it marks its world premiere in French under the banner of Compagnie Daï Daï Produçao.
